Night time hugs

Sometimes at night, usually awhile after I put my sweet boy down and I think he's been asleep, I'll start to hear these little noices from him. So I go in to check on him and he'll be standing up reaching for me. He'll wrap his little arms around my neck and lay his head on my shoulder for a minute. I'll breathe in that perfect after bath baby smell and kiss his head a few times. Then after a few seconds he'll decide that was what he needed and he'll lay himself down and cuddle up with his blankie to go to sleep. It makes me melt inside and I realize that being a mommy is the greatest thing I have ever and will ever do in my life.

So fun!

Here are some pictures of Benson...He's 16 months old and so much fun. I'm always convinced every new stage he goes through will be my absolute favorite and then he gets to the next one and it's even better than the one before. But 16 months is definatley one of the best. He has so much personality and is ALWAYS busy.

Thank goodness for Baby Einstein movies! They are about the only thing you'll ever catch Benson sitting for (almost always with his legs crossed). He loves them. Right now he's on a baby mcdonald kick because of the cows.

He sleeps in the funniest positions...this one is actually one of the more normal ones.

Bensons first taste of acai. He loved it. He kept asking for more. We knew he had a little brazilian blood in him.

Cheeks!

Bumps, scrapes, and bruises...things we're becoming very familiar with. He gets a new one every day. He scraped all the skin off the end of his nose from a nasty fall in this picture. It had healed a lot. He's such a boy...all about getting dirty, taking risks, getting into everything, and trying to do what the big kids are doing, usually ending in bumps, scrapes, and bruises.

Where's the airplane? He finds them all.

He did NOT want his picture taken but he was so handsome!

Playing in sand is one of his favorites.

This is an old picture, but it's one of my favorites.

Merry Go Round

Benson loved the merry go round. He thinks horses and cows are the same thing so he said 'moo' about 50 times while he was on his horse. The second picture caught him saying it. Pretty sure he's saying it in the first one too. Do I really have a child old enough to be riding a merry go round?

I'm excited to finally have a blog...mostly to show off my cute little boy to everyone who dosn't get to see him too often. I decided today after reading up on all my friends lives on their blogs and loving it, that I want you all to know whats going on with us too... So here goes...
