Today is the day

In a couple hours we'll take Bel in for her cath...I'm trying not to, but I keep thinking that this might be our last morning at home for a long time. We've been told that it's very likely we'll just stay in the ICU until her surgery. We don't know much right now, the cath is supposed to give us some answers and direction, but the surgery will most likely be anywhere from a few days from today to 3 weeks. I can't believe it's all here already..
Please, for those of you who read this today, say a little prayer for her. Although Cath's are not a huge deal compared to what she's been through and will go through, anything for Bela can be hard on her.
Thank you for your prayers, your words of comfort and support, and for following Bela's journey with us. I will update more when we know..

Jojo and mercy

Bela will live to be a testament that there is a God who is still in the Healing business. Jesus We thank You for the good report we will get from the milnis’ of Bela’s health report. Lord your report says we are healed, your report says we are free and your says we have Victory. We pray for Strength Father for the Milnis’ and thank you for lives that will be changed because of your workmanship and Bela’s healing in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Prayers for Bela!!! I know Caths are supposed to be easier... but I just hate them! Our first one was at around 3months, they found Owen's heart failing, they bumped up his Glenn and we were in ICU for 30 days... :(.

I pray that Belas' will go much, much smoother. he idea of surgery is frigtening but it is SOOOO nice to have it done and out of the way. Then Bela can just be a baby for a LONG while before any more surgeries come up.

PRAYERS and HUGS from your heart friends in Gilbert!!!

Hi Avery- my name is Laura Crooks- maiden Denos. I feel like I shoudld leave you a comment since I met your sister on Sunday. I am from your home stake (RSM) but I live in Las Vegas now and just met your sister, Erin, in our new ward. I have been following your story through my dad- who was a bishop under your dad as stake pres- when this all started. I have a 14 month old little boy so your situation has been very touching. All I can say is that you seem so strong in your posts and your family must be truly amazing to have this challenge placed in your "plan". Especially at this time, know your little girl is being prayed for by one more (near) stranger.

I have been thinking of Bela and you as well Avery all day. I pray constantly that all will go smoothly in her cath and they will have a clear direction for surgery. I know how scary upcoming surgery can be, but you will be able to breath so much easier when it is all over. We love you!

As always our prayers and thoughts are with you guys. It was great to visit yesterday and I hope you got some good answers for the future for Bela from Sherrine. Hang in there and we will definitely check in and see what we can do.

From one heart mom to another, I wish you peace tonight. I will be praying for your sweet baby girl. She is beautiful! I came upon your blog from "Annabelle's mom," a great heart mom friend of mine. My daughter, Mary Clare also has HLHS and has endured her first two surgeries. What miracles these babies are! Will be checking in on you!
