Breathing Tube is out!

Since I arrived at 4:00 pm I have received a visit from 2 cardiologists, 2 ICU docs, who knows how many nurses, and the lead surgeon, all of which said that "Bela is doing great." They just came in and took out her breathing tube! What an exciting moment. She is so BELA and it is so nice to see her face. Her voice is very horse, but it is nice to hear the little noises she is making. I know for a majority of you these pictures are scary but she is doing so well.

When the doctors have come in, I ask each of them separately "how is she doing?" They all respond the same way with the same hesitation, "she is doing great." I believe the hesitation because we are all a part of a miracle and for many it is hard to witness and understand a miracle. Bela is beating all odds every day, but these doctors have no idea how many people are excercising faith in her behalf. Another great day and we thank all of you for the faith, strength, and support.

Best news of the day, without a doubt. (Well, that, and also that things went well for Eden too!) I want to love on her so bad, I think I can feel her all sweetness from here! She is truly Heaven Sent...

You guys have come so far! We are so excited to hear and see the progress little Bela is making...no doubt she is a true miracle. She is sure a fighter and will have the battle scares to prove it! Your family is an amazing example of faith, and your little girl shows just how much faith can produce miracles. Keep up the good work and our prayers continue with you.

love,
Carol e Marcinha

Ahh geee...Ave! Good to hear from you. We monitor your blog daily and pray for little bells. We get the best reception in the bathroom and last night we were huddled in there reading the update and we were both pretty much crying at your miracle. She's a tough cookie, and so are you.
loves,
Manda

That is great news! She is doing so good, what a blessing and a true miracle little Bela is.
Sweet little miracle...I still think she looks like you. I am back in the west, but won't be back home until the weekend, but as soon as I am back I want to help you and see you.
Her little chest is already healing up so well. She really looks fantastic. We're so glad she is making good progress and beating all the odds. That's so great that her breathing tube is out and she is doing so well breathing on her own. You both must be so proud of your little one!

Avery and Tanner,
We hope Bela keeps on getting better and better. She is really a miracle. That's when we have to believe in God. We're praying for you all and mainly for Bela. As you know her name means beautiful in Portuguese. And she is! Beautiful and strong. And this little girl is teaching us how to be strong and have faith!

She is SO cute. What a little Woffinden. I can see so much of you in her.

What a relief to have that breathing tube out! So exciting to hear her little raspy voice. I am thinking about you and your family constantly.
